Before Pickup
- Empty drawers, cabinets, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Disconnect appliances from power, water, and gas before arrival. Use a qualified professional where required.
- Tell HM about tight turns, narrow doors, stairs, elevators, or building move-out rules.
- Reserve loading access or elevator time when your building requires it.
- Keep pets and children away from the loading route.
Can an item be donated?
Donation depends on condition, cleanliness, current local demand, and receiving-organization rules. HM looks for practical reuse or recycling options when possible but cannot guarantee acceptance by a donation center.
